El Gran Santuari de Geku-Jingu/ The Great Shrine of Geku-Jingu: Els santuaris d’Ise són el centre religiós del sintoisme i el lloc més sagrat del Japó. Hi ha dos santuaris (jingu) principals, el Interior i l’Exterior, i uns 120 de secundaris. Per a mi, es el lloc més impactant del Japó, precisament per la impresionant natura que envolta el santuari. I cal dir que cada 20 anys, des de fa 7 segles, tot el santuari és reconstruit de cap a peus! Aqui és el maxim d’aprop del gran santuari de Geku on es pot aproximar el public. Més enllà nomes pasen els sacerdots i la familia imperial. —————————————————— In the city of Ise, there’s the most sacred place on Japan: the shrine of Ise-Jingu. It consists of 2 main shrines, the Interior and the Exterior, and about 120 minor ones. For me it’s the most awesome place in Japan, in part for the natural seting, and part for the ritual you feel in the place. And all the buildings are rebuilt every 20 years since the 7th Century!! So you have a pre-medieval building almost new in its materials but milenarian in it’s shape! This is the nearest you can go to the great shrine.
